Where the Story Began

There was a wine list. And one honest question.

Sometimes the moment that makes us feel uncertain becomes the beginning of everything.

Tuanni Price was twenty-eight when wine made her feel like an outsider.

During dinner at a luxury hotel with her mother and twin sister, the wine list felt like a language she had never been taught. The tasting ritual was unfamiliar, and the experience left her embarrassed.

But that discomfort became curiosity. Tuanni decided that wine should never make people feel small, excluded or afraid to ask questions. She began learning so that she could help others feel confident at the table.

That simple decision became the first step toward Zuri Wine Tasting.

The First Table

Friends gathered. Confidence grew.

Learning about wine became something Tuanni could share.

In 2006, she created the Distinguished Blackberries wine club with friends. They gathered around tables, researched bottles, paired wine with food and learned together without judgment.

What began as a circle of curious friends revealed something powerful. People wanted wine education that felt warm, social and welcoming. They wanted permission to ask questions and discover what they truly enjoyed.

2010

Zuri Wine Tasting became a business built to make wine feel simple, personal and connected.

The Journey

A table became a movement.

Each new chapter carried the same belief forward. Wine should bring people closer, make curiosity feel welcome and create memories that travel far beyond the glass.

2006

Distinguished Blackberries begins

Friends gather to research bottles, pair wine with food and learn together. The first community forms around curiosity, conversation and the freedom to ask questions.

2010

Zuri Wine Tasting is born

A personal passion becomes a business with a clear purpose. Zuri Wine Tasting begins creating welcoming wine education, soulful gatherings and experiences designed around people.

2018

Cape Town becomes home

The story expands across the ocean. South African wine, culture and community become part of a deeper journey connecting Los Angeles with the Cape.

Today

The community keeps growing

Zuri Wine Tasting now brings people together through private tastings, cultural experiences, family adventures and journeys that turn new places into lasting connections.
