Let's make a wine cocktail while I teach you how to evaluate texture and aromas in wine!
In this palate training class I demonstrate what tannins, acidity, sweetness, astringency and alcohol feel like in wine. We add common food items to wine and I guide you on a journey to detect the nuances and mouthfeel. This way next time someone asks what tannins are? You can explain what they are and how they feel!
Your sense of smell is probably the most important sense when evaluating wine. A well trained nose can detect thousands of aromas. It takes practice! Practice by smelling everything all the time!
The good news is you can make your own wine aroma kit and use it to practice smelling. In this live tutorial on Zoom. I will discuss the most common aromas found in wines and show you how to identify fruits, herbs, spice and floral aromas in wine. It’s fun and interactive
